# Private Community Access Checklist: Discord, Circle, Skool, Downloads, and Bookings

Community access can be valuable.

But only when buyers understand what they are joining.

A vague community is hard to sell.

A clear community offer is easier.

## Quick answer

A private community access product should explain:

- who the community is for.
- where it lives.
- what members get.
- what files or resources are included.
- how access is delivered.
- rules and support.
- whether live sessions are included.
- what happens if access changes.

The community should not be the only promise.

Show the buyer the real value.

## 1. Decide what the community does

A community can be:

- discussion space.
- accountability group.
- update channel.
- private support room.
- buyer-only Discord.
- coaching cohort.
- template library plus chat.
- course group.

Write the main purpose in one line.

Example:

```text
A private Discord for Canva template sellers who want weekly product ideas, launch feedback, and buyer-support examples.
```

That is clearer than:

```text
Join my community.
```

## 2. Choose the access path

The community can live in:

- Discord.
- Circle.
- Skool.
- Slack.
- Telegram.
- private forum.
- Notion hub.
- course platform.

If the access is a URL, a 3DIMLI Link Product can be useful because the buyer pays and receives the access link after checkout.

The [creating products overview](https://support.3dimli.com/creating-products/overview) lists Link Products as a product path for selling access through a URL.

## 3. Add files or resources

Many communities are stronger when they include useful materials.

Examples:

- monthly template drop.
- replay library.
- checklist vault.
- onboarding guide.
- lesson files.
- swipe files.
- private notes.
- workshop recordings.

## 4. Explain support boundaries

Community buyers often expect access to you.

Be clear:

- response time.
- office hours.
- what questions are allowed.
- what is not included.
- whether DMs are included.
- where billing help goes.

Do not promise "unlimited support" unless you truly mean it.

## 5. Add bookings when personal help matters

Some community members want private help.

Add:

- monthly Q&A.
- office hour.
- setup call.
- feedback review.
- private consult.

3DIMLI supports Booking products for sessions, classes, appointments, and services through the optional Booking add-on.

## 6. Write access and cancellation notes

Explain:

- when access starts.
- how the invite is delivered.
- what email is used.
- what happens if the invite expires.
- what happens if rules are broken.
- how refunds or cancellations work.

This protects both buyer and seller.

## FAQ

**Can I sell private community access as a digital product?**

Yes. If access is delivered through a URL, a Link Product can sell the private access path after payment.

**Is a community the same as a resource library?**

No. A community is about people interacting. A resource library is about files, lessons, links, and updates.

**Should I include live calls?**

Only if they are part of the value and you can deliver them consistently.

**Can 3DIMLI replace Skool or Circle?**

3DIMLI is not a full community platform. It can sell access to a community, plus downloads, bookings, and related products around that community.
